Computer Sciences Corp., the fifth-largest computer-service company, delayed fiscal fourth-quarter results to finish accounting for income taxes on transactions from earlier periods.
Revenue was $4 billion to $4.1 billion in the quarter, and earnings per share were $1.51 to $1.61, excluding some costs, the El Segundo-based company said. Computer Sciences was scheduled to report full results Tuesday.
Previously, Computer Sciences’ profit had dropped for four straight quarters amid competition from rivals such as Accenture Ltd.
Shares of Computer Sciences rose 68 cents to $57.74.
