* at Tampa Bay 13, Seattle 12: The Devil Rays had a 12-4 lead after four innings, but Carl Crawford, who triggered the seven-run third inning, admitted to thinking “here we go again” when the Mariners cut the deficit to two.

* Toronto 5, at Baltimore 4 (10 innings): The Blue Jays’ Alex Rios scored the tying run in the eighth inning and homered off struggling Danys Baez (0-4) in the 10th. Toronto’s Frank Thomas hit his 493rd home run.

* Cleveland 10, at Kansas City 3: Jason Michaels capped Cleveland’s five-run first inning with a three-run homer. Casey Blake added a three-run triple and also doubled for the Indians, who have the majors’ best home record at 17-4 but are still two games under .500 (11-13) on the road.

* at Detroit 12, Angels 0: Magglio Ordonez had four hits and drove in three runs to take over the major league lead with 45 RBIs. Eight of the Tigers’ 13 hits were for extra bases in the victory over the Angels. Detroit leads the American League with 181 extra-base hits.
