The Board of Supervisors gave final approval Tuesday to a sweeping measure that grants the appointed county administrator new authority, adds several new management positions and changes the job’s name to chief executive officer.

Supervisor Mike Antonovich, a staunch opponent of the reorganization, cast the lone dissenting vote.

Next week, the board will discuss whether meetings with newly hired deputy county executives will include supervisors’ staff members and are subject to the state open meeting law.
