Isn’t it possible that Arte Moreno (class act) simply chose not to bid for A-Rod (non-class act) and thereby not contaminate his Angels for the sake of a few home runs? Thank you, Arte -- the other coast is welcome to Mr. Super-Sized Ego.

The Angels should have gotten A-Rod. Like many other Angels fans, I’ve always wondered how Vladimir Guerrero would do when he’s protected with a power hitter who also can’t hit in the playoffs.

Is it just me, or did Yankees VP Hank Steinbrenner say last week that if A-Rod opts out, the A-Rod era is over for the Yankees and he obviously doesn’t know what it means to play in pinstripes. After this week’s news, I think we all know exactly what it means to play in pinstripes: $$$$.
