Governor’s son, 6 others die in blast

A suicide bomber targeting an Afghan provincial governor killed seven people, including the governor’s son. Six police officers also were killed, and 14 people were wounded.
The bomber detonated explosives strapped to his body outside Gov. Ghulam Dastagir Azad’s house in the town of Zaranj in the southwestern province of Nimruz, Deputy Gov. Maluang Rasooli said.
