Deal made in the shade

The Shade Store, a catalog and online purveyor of window coverings, has launched an alliance with Chilewich, the design firm known for its modern, woven, vinyl place mats and runners. On the store’s easy-to-navigate website, shoppers can view roller shades in 13 Chilewich patterns in handsome textures and neutral colors, including one that resembles wood grain. Prices start at $245 for a 3-by-5-foot window, and orders ship in five days. The Shade Store also has six colors of Chilewich basket weave in panel systems that can be used as ceiling-mounted room dividers or as replacements for those annoying bifold closet doors.
