LACMA board gets new head

Share

Andrew M. Gordon, head of Goldman Sachs & Co. Investment Banking Division West Region and the firm’s Global Media Investment Banking practice, has been elected chairman of the board of trustees at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

A LACMA board member since 2005, Gordon succeeds Nancy Daly Riordan, who resigned in August for health reasons. One of 22 trustees who have joined the board in the last three years, Gordon has risen to the helm during a period of extensive transformation under the leadership of Director Michael Govan.

The first phase of the expansion and renovation campaign will be completed in February, when the museum will open the Broad Contemporary Art Museum and an underground parking facility and unveil changes in existing buildings and grounds.
