D.A. opens investigation of city treasurer’s office
The San Bernardino County district attorney’s office has launched an investigation into the operations of the city treasurer’s office at the request of the chief of police, it was announced Thursday.
Carl Baker, a spokesman for Redlands and its Police Department, declined to comment “because of the personnel issues involved” except to say that the city was cooperating fully with the investigation.
A woman answering a call to the treasurer’s office also declined to comment, and a district attorney’s spokesman could not be reached.
