Hoag Hospital receives a $16-million donation
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian has received a $16-million donation, the second-largest in its history, hospital officials said Wednesday.
The contribution will help fund the hospital’s cancer center, which is expanding, and a diabetes program being developed.
The donor, the George Hoag Family Foundation, is a Santa Monica-based philanthropic group that helped pay for the construction of the hospital in 1950 and its cancer center in 1989.
