CIA may get ‘terrorist’ designation
From Times Wire Reports
Parliament voted to designate the CIA and the U.S. Army as “terrorist organizations” in a session broadcast live on state-run radio.
The resolution, a response to a U.S. Senate move seeking a similar designation for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, urges President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s government to treat the Army and CIA as terrorist groups.
It would become law if ratified by Iran’s hard-line constitutional watchdog.
The White House declined to comment.
