Re “Sahara Eden is unearthed,” Aug. 15

I was fascinated by this story. Let’s see, a faint wobble in Earth’s orbit changed the climate enough to turn the Sahara desert into a lush paradise over 10,000 years ago.

One has to wonder if people then had their own version of Al Gore, claiming all those campfires were causing global warming?
