Police chief killed on 2nd day of job

The police chief in a northern Mexican town has been killed a day after replacing his predecessor, who was killed in May.
Officials said the body of Jesus Blanco Cano was found blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back at a ranch near the town of Villa Ahumada in Chihuahua state not far from Texas. Blanco, 40, had been on the job only 24 hours.
