Guilty plea in pipe bombings
A 60-year-old woman pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to placing pipe bombs outside the federal courthouse and a Federal Express distribution center. No one was hurt in the late-night blasts that broke windows.
Ella Louise Sanders faces a mandatory term of at least 30 years in prison when sentenced Aug. 3, 2009. A co-defendant, Eric Reginald Robinson, 43, has also pleaded guilty and awaits sentencing. A third defendant, Rachelle Lynette Carlock, 31, awaits trial. No motive has been uncovered for the April 25 and May 4 bombings, officials said.
