Authorities say AT&T; Inc., T-Mobile USA Inc. and a company that provides a service that can be used to hack cellphone voice mails have reached lawsuit settlements.

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said the companies agreed to pay a total of about $120,000 and abide by permanent injunctions barring misrepresentations about TelTech Systems Inc.’s SpoofCard.

The companies did not admit wrongdoing.

Prosecutors say that TelTech lied about the legality of its SpoofCard service in California, and that the phone companies misrepresented the safety of their systems.
