Mortgage rates rise across board

Rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.68% this week, up from 5.48% last week, mortgage company Freddie Mac said.

Rates on 15-year mortgages, a popular choice for refinancing, edged up to 5.17%, compared with 4.95% last week. Five-year adjustable-rate mortgages increased to 5.32% from 5.13%, while rates on one-year ARMs rose to 5.05%, up from 4.99% last week.

These rates do not include add-on fees known as points. Thirty-year and 15-year mortgages and five-year adjustable-rate mortgages all carried a nationwide average fee of 0.4 of a point. One-year ARMS had an average fee of 0.7 of a point.
