Memorial ceremony set for Jeanne Bates
A memorial celebration for actress Jeanne Bates, who played Nurse Wills on TV’s “Ben Casey” in the 1960s and the mother in David Lynch’s 1977 cult film favorite “Eraserhead,” will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Theatre West, 3333 Cahuenga Blvd. West, Los Angeles.
Bates died of breast cancer Nov. 28. She was 89.
