Mortgage rates fall across board

Rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.67% this week, down from 5.68% last week, mortgage company Freddie Mac said.

Rates on 15-year mortgages, a popular choice for refinancing, dipped to 5.15% from 5.17% last week. Five-year adjustable-rate mortgages declined to 5.21%, down from 5.32% last week. One-year adjustable-rate mortgages fell to 5.03%, down from 5.05% last week.

These rates do not include add-on fees known as points. Thirty-year mortgages, 15-year mortgages and five-year adjustable-rate mortgages all carried a nationwide average fee of 0.4 of a point. One-year ARMS had an average fee of 0.5 of a point.
