Corona-based Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. said U.S. regulators had begun re-inspecting a factory that they barred from producing new generic drugs after deficiencies were found in 2005.

New drugs made at the Davie, Fla., plant haven’t been able to gain Food and Drug Administration approval since September 2005, even though the facility has continued to work at a third of its capacity to make existing products.
