Effort to limit size of homes advances
A measure that would dramatically limit the size of new or remodeled homes in the city’s flatlands cleared a key hurdle Tuesday when it passed through the City Council’s planning committee on its way to a hearing before the full council.
The “anti-mansionization” measure would toughen rules that govern the square footage and height of homes and would affect about 304,000 lots.
