“Wearing a corset should feel like a very snug embrace,” corsetier Bree Wardlow says, not a waist-crushing form of torture (unless you’re into that sort of thing). Whether for fetish or for fashion, the corset has never quite gone away since its post-Victorian-era demise as a wardrobe staple. In “All Laced Up: The Art of Corsetry,” Wardlow will teach proper lacing technique, offer tips for choosing a corset and educate wearers about the corset’s history. “Humans have always sought to decorate and idealize the human form, and we’ve been reshaping the body a lot more than people realize,” Wardlow says. 7:30 p.m. Thu., Babeland, 7007 Melrose Ave. Free.
