Time to slip that old ZIP
First, Shannen Doherty dumped the 90210 ZIP Code, and it would appear she is now ready to shed some 90265 skin too. A star of the 1990s TV hit “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Doherty has listed her 3,410-square-foot home in Malibu at $4.4 million.
Built in 1976, the five-bedroom house has 4 1/2 baths and a master suite with a fireplace, according to listing information. The 1.1-acre property has ocean views, a long driveway, a large motor court and lots of gardens. There are patios, a pool and a spa.
Doherty purchased the property in April 2004 for $2,560,025, according to public records.
The 37-year-old actress, who spent three years as a good witch on “Charmed” after her stint as the dogmatic drama queen Brenda Walsh on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” more recently hosted the unscripted reality show “Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty.” We can forgive her for that, given that she has multiple mortgages to pay.
One of Shando’s (as she is known) retreats is her horse ranch up in Ventura County -- the home where she reportedly goes to chill out. She also owns a 3,600-square-foot home in Malibu that she is not selling.

A ‘Nip/Tuck’ to his environment
Change in all things is sweet, said Aristotle. If true, serve up a double helping of the nectar to Emmy nominee Ryan Murphy for creating “Nip/Tuck” -- the FX drama where everybody wants to change how they look -- and for wanting to change where he lives.
He has listed his three-bedroom, three-bathroom Midcentury Modern home in the Hollywood Hills for $4,195,000. The 3,100-square-foot house was designed by Modernist Carl Maston as the architect’s own residence. Maston’s work is often overshadowed by his better-known peers of the era.
It wasn’t until after his death in 1992, at age 77, that attention began to be paid to the more than 100 homes and buildings in Southern California that he designed, including the College of Environmental Design at Cal State Pomona.
There are floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and the house is perched above mature trees. The master bedroom has period cork floors. The public rooms have concrete floors. When the house was redone, all-natural materials were used, said listing agent Jon Bronson of Westside Estate Agency Realty, Beverly Hills.
Murphy wrote and directed the 2006 movie “Running With Scissors,” which stars Annette Bening and Alec Baldwin.
Producer’s new Eden: Vancouver
Hollywood workers may be following the paychecks north. Erik Nelson, a producer of more than 75 television specials and series, is selling his Los Feliz home and relocating to Vancouver, Canada, where most of his TV production is.
He’s not just leaving Hollywood behind, he’s also leaving a piece of Hollywood history: The house he is selling once was owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
The asking price for the 3,168-square-foot gated Georgian colonial is $2,649,000. It has four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a pool. There is a separate guesthouse.
DeMille bought the house for his mistress, Julia Faye, who appeared in more of his films than any other actress. He continued to keep her employed in bit parts long after their relationship ended.
Nelson is the executive producer of “Escape to Chimp Eden” and “Extreme Survival.”
He and his family have purchased a waterfront house in the British Columbia city from Gillian Anderson, who reprises her role as agent Dana Scully in this summer’s “The X-Files: I Want to Believe.”

The man behind the hottest tickets in town -- mega ticket broker Doug Knittle -- has sold his Bel-Air home for $6.73 million. It had been listed at $7.35 million, according to the MLS.
Knittle is co-founder of RazorGator, the brokering business that sells hard-to-find tickets to sold-out events, including major sporting games.
His newest venture is a social media website for soccer fans called OleOle.
The 15,000-square-foot contemporary that Knittle just sold has seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, a sunny pool and ocean views. There is a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen with a walk-in refrigerator. The home, behind 24-hour guarded gates, has a 12,000-bottle wine cellar.

‘Single’ bachelor pad’s got to go
File this under the category of listening to your own advice: Terence Michael, the executive producer of Showtime’s “I Can’t Believe I’m Still Single,” which premieres June 22, is selling his beach house in Playa del Rey. Why? Seems he is no longer unattached.
In fact, Michael is moving to Manhattan Beach with his girlfriend.
The 1950s bungalow he is listing for $981,000 has an open, wood-beamed ceiling in the living and dining areas. It is about 1,560 square feet and located near bike paths, beaches and major freeways. The aluminum-ceilinged kitchen features hand-cut mosaic tiles and stainless steel appliances. There is a large backyard with a hot tub, a gazebo, an outdoor fireplace and a tranquillity fountain.
“I Can’t Believe I’m Still Single” is a spinoff of the book by the same name written by Eric Schaeffer, which humorously chronicles his dating miseries. Michael co-produced the 1996 film “If Lucy Fell,” which starred Ben Stiller and Sarah Jessica Parker.
