Ford to cut salaried jobs

Ford Motor Co. plans to reduce salaried-employee costs by 15% as declining U.S. sales extend the Dearborn, Mich., automaker’s losses.
The cuts will be made by Aug. 1, Ford told employees. Ford is trimming again after slashing its salaried workforce by about a third in the last two years to 23,700.
