“Scarlett: The Garnet Fairy”

Rachel and Kirsty go to an old stone farmhouse called Buttercup Farm. Kirsty finds a tiny toy tractor there and giant chestnuts under a chestnut tree. Suddenly, the dogs start barking. When the girls follow them, they find tiny sheep! Finally, they find a fairy -- Scarlett, the Garnet fairy. She controls the size of things.

Then Kirsty and Rachel climb to the top of a haystack and find a red jewel called a garnet. This belongs to Scarlett. Before they know it, goblins capture the jewel and Scarlett! Kirsty tries to make a deal with the goblins and . . . . Read the book to find out what happens next.

“The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”

C.S. Lewis

This is the fifth book in C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia.” It is about King Caspian V of Narnia and his ship, “The Dawn Treader,” on a voyage to the end of the world (their world is flat) and Aslan’s Country. On the way, they encounter a sea serpent, an island that makes all of your dreams come true and many other bizarre places. This book was great!
