Ex-premier pleads not guilty to graft
From Times Wire Reports
Ousted Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra pleaded not guilty today before the Supreme Court in one of two corruption cases against him.
The court session came on the eve of Thaksin’s monthlong trip to England. The court already has granted him permission for the trip.
Thaksin faces conflict of interest and malfeasance charges related to his wife’s 2003 purchase of a prime piece of real estate in Bangkok.
