Border fence lawsuit dropped

From Times Wire Reports
A federal judge has approved an agreement requiring the government to consult two southern Texas colleges about plans to build a border fence.
The agreement calls for dismissal of a lawsuit filed against the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. It had sought a condemnation so 160 acres could be placed on the Mexico side of the proposed fence.
It’s the first time that a property owner in the fence controversy has won the right to be consulted ahead of government plans.
