THE BUCKET

This Eagle Rock landmark (4541 Eagle Rock Blvd.) has been serving up mouth-watering, gut-busting burgers like the Cardiac and the Julio (topped with tangy mustard/garlic “Julio sauce”) since 1935. And that’s not to mention the full-sized pitchers of beer at affordable prices and the outdoor patio.

PAN PACIFIC PARK

When you want to escape from the hell that is rush-hour traffic on La Brea (or even worse, a Friday afternoon at the Grove), why not enjoy a stroll through this oft-overlooked mid-city park (7600 Beverly Blvd.)? SHE & HIM

GINGERGRASS

This uber-trendy Silver Lake restaurant (2396 Glendale Blvd.) serves so-so Vietnamese cuisine at gourmet prices. For Silver Lake pho that’s really good, try Pho Cafe (2841 W. Sunset Blvd.).
