County targets dog fighting
County officials Thursday teamed up with the Humane Society of the United States in an effort to crack down on illegal dog fighting.
Authorities with the district attorney’s office said the partnership included changing the county’s 211 line so that residents can easily report abuses of animals and that the Humane Society was now offering $5,000 rewards for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of people involved in dog fighting.
