Woman to stand trial for murder
A woman accused of driving teenagers to kill a 13-year-old gang rival has been ordered to stand trial for murder.
A judge in Long Beach ruled Friday that there is enough evidence to try 31-year-old Eva Daley and a 16-year-old boy for last year’s stabbing death.
Daley’s son and five other reputed gang members also were charged with murdering Jose Cano.
Prosecutors contend that Daley helped plot the attack and drove a car full of gang members to a Long Beach park June 26 so they could attack the boy.
Daley could face the death penalty if convicted.
