The second annual L.A. Greek Film Festival will kick off June 25 with a screening of a newly restored print of “Zorba the Greek,” the 1964 movie that starred Anthony Quinn, Alan Bates and Irene Papas and won three Academy Awards.

The festival will end June 29 with the screening of “Little Greek Godfather,” based on an autobiographical short story by Nicholas Papandreou, son of former Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou.

The screenings -- of movies, documentaries and short subjects produced in Greece, made by Greeks or concern Greek subjects -- will be at the Egyptian Theatre and the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood.
