Missing Gil

Upon returning from vacation, we were saddened to learn of the passing of Gil Stratton.

One night in particular, when his report was to be followed by the late movie, became especially memorable and we have chuckled about it, on occasion, ever since. In signing off from the sports show, he announced, “That’s all the sports nose for tonight. Stay tuned for ‘Cyrano de Bergerac.’ ”
