Re “Corruption conviction doesn’t daunt Stevens,” Oct. 28

In the story announcing the conviction of Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska, it was mentioned that “Senate rules do not bar convicted felons from serving, and it would take a two-thirds vote to expel Stevens if he were reelected.” And people said irony was dead after 9/11!
