Rubber found in frozen chicken

Barber Foods Co. of Portland, Maine, is recalling more than 41,000 pounds of frozen, stuffed chicken after rubber was found inside some of the meat, the Department of Agriculture said. The 20-ounce cartons of Schwan’s Stuffed Chicken Kiev, produced May 17, June 2 and Aug. 4, were available for purchase from Schwan’s Home Service Inc. via catalog and on the Internet. No illnesses have been reported, the USDA said.

* About 18,000 My Little Train Classics toy trains, made in China and imported by JA-RU Inc., are being recalled because they contain small parts that pose a choking risk for children. The trains were sold from March 2007 to October 2008. For information: (800) 231-3470 or www.cpsc.gov.

* About 8,000 children’s two-way radios, made in China by Cobra Electronics, are being recalled because the radios’ AAA batteries can leak electrolyte, posing a chemical burn hazard.
