Army reports 15 militants slain

Pakistani forces battling Al Qaeda and Taliban fighters killed 15 militants in the tribal areas along Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan, the army said.
Six insurgents also were wounded in the clashes in several parts of the Swat valley, the army said in a brief statement.
In a separate operation, a military official said troops had made progress in securing Peshawar, a strategic city just outside the tribal belt, where there has been a spate of attacks on foreigners recently.
