Re “Pirates of the 21st century,” Opinion, Oct. 4

When I saw this headline, I naturally thought, as I’m sure many readers did, that this article was about Congress and Wall Street.

As I read through the piece, I found myself unconsciously replacing words to fit this image. For example, “bailout” for “ransom,” “bankers” for “pirates,” “foreclose” for “hijack,” “lobbyists” for “pack of wolves” and so on.

It worked very well. I invite other readers to try.
