AT A TIME when some developers might question whether consumers are willing to invest in anything, let alone a green condo, representatives for the new Evo tower in downtown Los Angeles say they’re weathering the tough market by playing to the eco-consciousness of prospective buyers.

The 24-story building at 12th Street and Grand Avenue is on track to receive a silver LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council’s benchmark Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, Evo officials say. Environmentally friendly design features will be the subject of a talk and tour at the building today, but the Home section recently got a sneak peek.
