Physician faces more charges
A physician whose father is the leader of Bermuda was charged Thursday with sexually molesting another four patients, bringing the total to 12.
Dr. Kevin Brown, the son of Bermuda Premier Ewart Brown, faces 33 felony counts and could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted. He was initially charged in July with molesting two patients and has since been accused by another 10 females -- including a 15-year-old, district attorney’s spokeswoman Jane Robison said. The charges, 10 of which were added at a court hearing Thursday, include forcible rape, lewd acts upon a child, sexual battery and sexual exploitation by a physician.
Brown, 37, jailed on $4-million bail, has pleaded not guilty to all counts. His attorney, Blair Berk, said her client was innocent.
