Boycotting the phone giants

Regarding “Hung up on phone company’s fine print” (Consumer Confidential, Sept. 14):

I feel that our communications services are trying to circumvent federal and local regulations. Therefore I do not use AT&T;, Verizon or any other service that has a quasi-monopoly in my area.
