Four Corners marker: A National Briefing item in Tuesday’s Section A about intersection of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah said the Four Corners marker was misplaced about 2.5 miles west of the real spot because of an inaccurate survey in 1868. In fact, the marker is 1,807 feet east of where the states meet. Regardless of the states’ true point of intersection, the marker has been ratified by all four states as the legal location of the Four Corners.
