EBay Inc.’s PayPal online payment system had a worldwide outage, preventing Internet shoppers from completing their orders.
All customers were locked out of the service for about one hour from 10:30 a.m. Pacific time, a spokesman said. An internal technical problem caused the shutdown, which didn’t compromise customer information, the company said.
