Re "President cheers a 'teachable moment,' " July 31

So America is supposed to have a "teachable moment" after the brief arrest of a prominent African American Harvard professor. Are white folks in general and white cops in particular supposed to be taught about their inherent racial insensitivity? Well, consider this: The mayor of Cambridge, Mass., is African American, the governor of Massachusetts is African American, and the president of the United States is African American.

Isn't considering these facts a "teachable moment"?
