Scott Spiezio [Aug. 21] is still in denial, calling his alcoholism “my little two-, three-year detour.” What he should do is go to Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, where he can stand up and say that he is an alcoholic and be surrounded by others who understand what he is talking about when he wants to take that first drink/drug.

I would love to see this man make it, and not just in baseball but in life.
