Re “Pledges Extend Film at LACMA,” by David Ng and Susan King, Aug. 27: It is thrilling to discover that Los Angeles is taking steps to preserve community events. Although I had never heard of LACMA’s weekend film program, I am pleased to hear that it is being saved.
I have spent numerous uneventful weekends this summer sitting at home complaining that Los Angeles is just too expensive.
In fact, I cannot count how many times I have typed “cheap things to do in L.A.” into my Google search and had no success. Advertising the program will be sure to solve the problem for others in a similar position.
