The Twelve Days of Christmas The unconventional Melrose gallery closes its annual holiday windup with a special display and sale of Japanese Pullip dolls. A strawberry shortcake Krispy Kreme and eggnog reception complements the exhibit of highly collectible dolls. Based on anime comic characters, the whimsical Pullips come with interchangeable fashionable clothes and accessories like hats, headsets, purses and even bag- pipes. Handel’s “Messiah” Gluttons for Christmas music will have no shortage of options to stand and sing along for this traditional favorite around town. But if you must only attend one “Messiah,” this is probably the one to be at. A full period-correct Baroque instrumental ensemble will bolster an ace cast of vocalists.
