Hershey Co. is eliminating one of the two premium chocolate brands it bought in 2005 when it entered the fast-expanding segment.

Hershey confirmed that it sent a letter to customers saying Joseph Schmidt Confections would not be sold after June 30. A spokesman said Hershey was discontinuing the line as part of a wider reorganization and the move was not related to slowing growth in the premium chocolate segment.
