Re “Jury out on new law for drivers,” Jan. 3

I am still amazed that we have to make a law for people not to text on those itty-bitty phones with those itty-bitty letters while driving down the freeway at 80 miles an hour behind the wheel of a 3,000-pound vehicle. How can they be so oblivious to their safety?
