Re “Venice battle rages over people living in vehicles,” Jan. 22

Rosendahl’s actual proposal to the City Council does not guarantee that RV parking zones must be away from residential areas. His proposal allows a councilman to designate parking lots where he or she wishes. Does anyone think that Rosendahl will designate parking zones in other pricey areas of his district, such as Brentwood or Pacific Palisades?

Whether RV dwellers have roots in Venice is irrelevant. I have 25-year roots in Venice. If I fell off the economic ladder, I would have to move.

To treat Venice fairly, there must be a citywide and countywide solution to RV and car homelessness. Rosendahl’s proposal will only make legal the now illegal concentration of RVs in Venice.
