Furniture that works for you

Just one look is all it takes for parents to fantasize about all the clutter they could hide inside the clean-lined, open-and-close Puzzle coffee table. The table is designed and fabricated by the husband-and-wife team of Brady and Charlotte Wilkinson and is part of their Moduture collection that premiered recently at the annual CA Boom design exhibition in Beverly Hills. The line also includes a cabinet made of modules that can stack high or wide and are equipped with interchangeable doors. “The premise for Moduture is in its name,” Charlotte Wilkinson says. “We believe that furniture should adapt to a space versus the other way around.” Although specifics have not yet been determined, the furniture promises to be modestly priced when it’s available this fall. The designers estimated that the table, the cabinet and a bookcase will cost $600 to $1,000 apiece. Until retail outlets are lined up, customers can place orders through www.moduture .com.
