There’ll be a sixth installment in the “Saw” series this October, but the horror film franchise also will be expanding beyond movie theaters by lending its characters and stories to the annual Halloween Horror Night attraction at Universal Studios in Hollywood and Orlando, Fla.

Universal said “Saw” elements will be incorporated into the mazes, scare zones and “terror tram” that nighttime visitors encounter in the weeks leading up to Halloween. The studio said representatives of Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures would be involved in creating the attractions. Horror Night opens here Oct. 2.
