Get a tape of Jon Stewart’s show where he sound-bites a selection of the financial press’ lame questioning of the industry “giants” (or scam artists) and you can understand why we knew so little going into this recession.

They were complicit in promoting misinformation.

And we thought that the political pundit spinmeisters were the only frauds on cable.
