A supervisor arrested after a major immigration raid at a kosher slaughterhouse was sentenced to three years in federal prison for his part in hiring illegal immigrants.
Juan Carlos Guerrero-Espinoza, who worked at Agriprocessors Inc. in Postville, will also serve two years of supervised release after prison.
Guerrero-Espinoza, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to hire illegal immigrants and one count of aiding and abetting the hiring of illegal immigrants.
He was arrested after an immigration raid in May at Agriprocessors, where 389 people were taken into custody.
